Natural face masks for dry skin

Dry skin can be caused my a multitude of things. You could be using a face wash or products that are too harsh on your skin, maybe you are dehydrated or maybe it's hereditary?

Whichever it is, dry skin, when not looked after can really exasperate aging, fine lines and wrinkles which is just no good. So below we have listed 3 of our fave all natural face masks to take your skin from dull and dry to fab and fly...you're welcome!

Avocado
Avocado is an excellent choice for making homemade face masks for dry skin, as it contains a lot of oils.

Ingredients:

  • ½ very ripe, soft avocado
  • ¼ cup honey

Directions:

  • Mash the avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
  • Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse face with a cool washcloth.

Oats

The good thing about this mask is that you will probably already have the ingredients in your cupboard.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Oats
  • 1 Tablespoon of Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Olive Oil

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small dish.
  • Apply to you skin and leave it for 10 minutes or until it is dry.
  • Rinse.
  • Moisturise with a good serum or argon oil.

Papaya & Strawberries

Many commercial masks use fruit ingredients or additives, this mask is all natural and tastes great if you get peckish, trust us.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large, fresh strawberries
  • 1 mashed peach
  • 1/2 ripe papaya, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon organic honey
  • 1 tablespoon oats

Directions:

  • Place strawberries, peach, papaya, honey in a mixing bowl, and mix until the fruits are blended.
  • Stir in oats a little at a time until the mixture forms a paste.
  • Apply the mask to the face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Rinse the papaya and strawberry mask with lukewarm water and finish by applying a good moisturiser.
